Installation Compatibility & Mounting Guide:

1. Mounting to Solid Wood or MDF Shelving

  • Application: Fixed top shelves in custom closet systems.
  • Installation: Secure the bracket directly to the underside of the shelf using the included wood screws.

2. Ceiling Mounting (Walk-in Closets)

  • Application: Creating a "floating" rod effect or when no top shelf is present.
  • Installation: Locate ceiling joists for a secure connection. If joists are not aligned with rod placement, use heavy-duty toggle bolts or drywall anchors rated for at least 50 lbs.
  • Vertical Clearance: Provides a 2.81" (71 mm) drop from the mounting surface to the center of the rod.

3. Wire Shelving Compatibility

  • Note: This bracket is not directly compatible with wire shelving as it requires a flat, solid surface for the mounting plate.

When is a Center Support Required?

To maintain the integrity of your 1-5/16" rod and prevent bowing:

  • Rods up to 48": Center support optional but recommended for heavy items.
  • Rods 48" to 72": One center support required.
  • Rods over 72": Two or more center supports spaced equally (every 36"–40").
